Leeds Waterfront Festival

30 June 2012 to 1 July 2012 11:59pm

Waterfront venues around Leeds come alive with entertainment and activities. Plus, boat gathering and dragon boat spectacle.

Venues: Granary Wharf, Brewery Wharf, Clarence Dock and Thwaites Mill Watermill Museum.

Attractions include: walk-on-water balls, canoeing sessions, boat trips, live music, dance, art, food and drink.

In Leeds Community Foundation’s Dragon Boat races, teams of 16 paddlers and a drummer, all in amazing technicolour and fancy dress, compete in 40ft dragon boats to raise money for Leeds charities.

In a new addition to the event, a boat gathering will be held at Thwaites Mill Watermill Museum. For more details of the boat gathering and boat-booking forms, contact Elaine Scott on Elaine.Scott@waterways.org.uk.
