Families

There are events (check the events page or www.scottishcanals.co.uk for any coming up) and activity centres along the canal. You may also enjoy walking, cycling, canoeing or visiting one of the local attractions.

What about schools and groups?

Schools and groups are always welcome along the Caledonian Canal. There is a fabulous new resource in the form of a loan box, the Great Caledonian Canal Brainstorm Case, that schools can request to borrow for free for a term. Guided visits are also available, with a pre-visit into your school. Why not explore the locks at Neptune’s Staircase with the lock keeper? For nature based visits contact the Great Glen Way Rangers.
