Stockingford Junior School in Leicestershire learn all about their local canal

Stockingford Junior School in Leicestershire were quick to benefit from our new classroom resources and WOW volunteers. Six classes took part in a session learning about their local waterways, using our new ‘All About Canals’ presentation and leaders notes.

The presentation and leaders notes can be used in the classroom on an interactive white board or can be printed off as a hand out.
Foxton based volunteers spent three days with Stockingford Junior School, teaching six classes about their local waterways.
The day involved practical demonstrations on how the canals were built, the ‘All About Canals’ presentation and making a model boat.
